Leading Addiction Treatment Center in Harris Hill, NY

At Niagara Recovery, we specialize in evidence-based detox and residential rehabilitation for adults in Harris Hill, NY, and the surrounding Clarence and Erie County area. If you are looking for care close to home, or trying to help a family member find the right level of drug rehabilitation in New York, our OASAS-licensed facility in Newfane offers a full continuum of care under one clinical team. We aim to make that process as straightforward as possible, from the first phone call through discharge planning.

Medically Supervised Detox, Tailored to Each Client

Detox is the first clinical step for clients who are physically dependent on alcohol, opioids, or benzodiazepines. Our medical team monitors each client around the clock and builds a withdrawal management plan based on their substance use history and current health.

For opioid dependence, that plan may include Suboxone, Sublocade, or Buprenorphine to ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings, with Vivitrol introduced once acute withdrawal has passed. Alcohol and benzodiazepine detox rely on a supervised tapering protocol to reduce the risk of seizures or other dangerous complications.

Residential Rehabilitation: Individual Counseling, Group Therapy, and Evidence-Based Care

Once detox is complete, clients move into our 28-day short-term residential program. Each day includes one hour of individual counseling and group therapy sessions held seven days a week. We use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients identify and change destructive thinking patterns, and Seeking Safety for clients working through co-occurring PTSD alongside substance use. Every client also receives a psychiatric evaluation within the first 24 hours of admission, which means any underlying anxiety, depression, or other condition is caught and treated from the start rather than after a relapse.

A Recovery Plan Shaped Around Your Situation

At Niagara Recovery, we do not run one program and fit every client into it. The clinical team builds a plan around each person's substance use history, medical needs, and psychiatric evaluation, then adjusts it as the client progresses through treatment. That same individualized approach carries into discharge, where a relapse prevention plan is written around the client's own triggers and risk factors, not a general template.

Our Team's Approach to Care

Treatment at Niagara Recovery is delivered by a licensed clinical team, including a Medical Director, a Director of Nursing, a Nurse Practitioner, and a Physician Assistant. Families are welcome to be part of the process, and our team works directly with clients and their loved ones to build a plan that reflects the realities of that client's life, not just their diagnosis. You can learn more about the people behind this care on our About Us page.

Questions Harris Hill Families Often Ask

Is Niagara Recovery close enough for a Harris Hill family to stay involved during treatment?

➢ Yes. Our facility is in Newfane, within Niagara County, so families in Harris Hill and the greater Buffalo area do not have to send a loved one out of state for OASAS-licensed inpatient care.

How quickly can someone from Harris Hill be admitted?

➢ Same-day admissions are available. Call our intake line at (716) 203-8000 to check current availability and start the process.

Does Niagara Recovery handle both detox and the residential program, or do I need a separate facility for each?

➢ Both are handled at the same facility. We hold OASAS licenses for medically supervised inpatient detox and for inpatient rehabilitation, so a client can move from withdrawal management directly into the 28-day residential program with the same clinical team.
